Program Overview:

This session expands the Fundraising Effectiveness Project report commissioned by AFP and the Urban Institute. The dismal news in this report can and should be an eye opener for every non-profit engaged in fundraising.   

We will focus on what can be done about engaging and retaining donors based on the proven best practices based upon two decades of scientific research. The principles and techniques can be used by any size organization whether you are a one-person shop or a large department of a National Nonprofit. We will show numerous real-world examples of these principles in action. The results can be astounding when put into daily use. You will be surprised at how simple it can be!  

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Be familiar with donor retention tools, communications, and donor loyalty techniques
  • Be familiar with current research on these tools and techniques in the nonprofit sector
