Bio

Elisabeth Glynn is a graduate from Loyola University New Orleans and has extensive experience in the nonprofit arena. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to South Florida in 2004. She was the Director of Community Relations with the Ann Storck Center, a Fort Lauderdale nonprofit organization serving children and adults with developmental disabilities, for eight years before becoming the Communications Manager of the South Florida affiliate of Gilda’s Club, a world-wide organization providing free emotional and social support for people whose lives have been affected by cancer. While in Broward County, she was involved with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, the Plantation Chamber of Commerce, and served on the committee of National Philanthropy Day through the Broward Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2014, she moved to Martin County, FL. She became the Executive Director of the Stuart Air Show in June 2014 and led the organization to its two most successful events, established high school scholarships, and created a second community event in collaboration with Southeast Florida Honor Flight. In November 2015, she became the Director of Resource Development at United Way of Martin County, overseeing workplace engagement, corporate partnerships, and establishing an active affinity group called Leaders United. Promoted in May 2017 to Director of Community Relations, Major Gifts & Endowments, she began working with the organization's major donors and Foundation. In 2020, her role at United Way of Martin County expanded to Director of Philanthropy, a role which oversees the entire campaign team and facilitates cohesive collaboration with the community impact team, while maintaining all previous roles and responsibilities. She is a graduate of LEADERship Martin County (Class 26), a member of the LEADERship Planning Committee, and served on the LEADERship Alumni Board from 2016-2022. She is an active member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the Martin County Estate Planning Council and the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, where she serves on the Chapter's Board of Directors and the National Philanthropy Day committee. In 2020, she became President of AFP Treasure Coast, overseeing Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties.  In 2021, she co-chaired the National Philanthropy Day event.
