One in five adults in North American experience some form of mental illness in a given year. Anecdotal evidence shows these statistics to be even greater in the nonprofit sector. Whether you’re interested in creating an accessible and safe place for those with the invisible disability of mental illness, or whether it’s a health challenge you face yourself, this session will put ideas and strategies forward for creating healthy people and healthy workplaces.

Noon: Lunch (included with full-day registration)

1:00 p.m.       The Science of Story

We all know about the power of story in fundraising, but why are they so powerful? What is it about the human brain and how it works that makes a story so engaging? In this session, Leah will dig deep into the brains of our donors and share research and insights into the role of narrative in guiding donor behavior.
