For Executive Directors, Directors of Development and other members of a development team to be effective in their diverse roles, it is essential that they have a strong understanding of non-profit finance. It is critical to building a robust and thorough development plan that meets the overarching needs of the organization, but also important in understanding the total health and viability of the business. In this session, we will review the cornerstone components of non-profit financial literacy to provide you an introduction to these key topics.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to understand:

  • Financial Planning and Cash Management
  • Financial Statements and Reporting
  • Requirements of local, state and federal governments
  • Role of the Board of Directors and Staff
