Led by Executive Producer of the Yarn, Hilary Trudell, and Director of Impact Capital for Heifer International, Jensyn Hallett, this workshop will explore the power of storytelling when used as a tool to engage donors. In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of storytelling and explore the intersection between compelling narratives and tactics that motivate people to give.

This is a workshop for fundraisers looking to motivate and inspire their network of donors. We will provide space, tools, and expertise for people to practice the art and craft of personal storytelling. In this interactive workshop, participants will be given opportunities to begin to compile their own narratives and receive feedback from their peers, inspiring confidence and self-reflection in storytellers and listeners.

The Yarn is a storytelling organization that creates space for the sharing of local narratives and provides tools to storytellers on how to tell an effective and impactful story. Founded in 2017, our mission is to amplify voices, build understanding and create a space for human connection.
