Is there an EveryAction user group?

  • 1.  Is there an EveryAction user group?

Thanks for adding me here Marily!

Is there an existing EveryAction user group? It doesn't seem like it.

I'm new to an organization that is using it. We haven't been using it for donor management/ CRM... mainly for email outreach and donation records. We're at a junction point where we are going to decide if we're going to configure it for some new donor management/ outreach workflows to use in the future. I'd be interested in talking with people who are using it for that effectively.

Jill, what kind of topics/ conversations/ connections are you interested in related to EveryAction? How is your org using it?

I went back to the Open Forum thread and noticed that Elysia Hansel expressed interest in being part of an EveryAction User Group.

How does community management work in this community? Is there a leader / host for communities/ boards like this one?

I am happy to be a member, but cannot be a host.

    Hi Adam,

I've been monitoring the original EveryAction thread a different member posed and sending invitations to this community. Elysia was sent an invitation with no response yet!

It seemed like there was no existing EveryAction user group, unlike other CRMs, so I created it about a month ago. Mainly with the intention to connect with other EveryAction users but also to learn and share knowledge. This is the first community I've created. The community management is rather lax right now. I've set it to the lowest settings so there's not much admin to support this group.

I'd love to learn more about how you're using EveryAction Adam! My organization is utilizing EveryAction for our donor and grants management, digital communications, events, etc. So I'm happy to share how we're using it! If there's interest we can start a small workgroup or office hours situation? I'm really curious as to how other organizations have configure it for their work.

I'd be happy to talk with you about how we use EveryAction Marily! I'd include my colleague who's done most of the EveryAction work/ configuration. I'm newer to it.

I'm curious: what are the most active CRM sub-communities here? (I'd take that as a signal for which are most useful/ popular/ active). We're likely to stick with EveryAction for the foreseeable future - but we want to be scanning the horizon for a better tool.

The afternoon of Friday March 21 might be a good time on our side, if that works for you.

Friday, March 21 from 3-4pm PT work for you and your colleague? @Jill Ullman would you like to participate?

Re: active CRM sub communities I'm not entirely sure, but the ones created are Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang, Salesforce.

Hi @Marily Lopez ... I'm sorry for my delayed response! I missed this in my email, and am not yet trained to look here on the board.

We have a fundraising event this weekend, and it looks like I'm going to have more work on Friday afternoon than I'd anticipated to prep for it!

How about next week at the same time (3pm Fri 3/28)? I sent you a meeting invite for that time to your CatalystCalifornia.org email address. Happy to adjust as needed.

I am curious to join an EveryAction user group, too. Historically, we have used it for emails, signups, ticketed events, and online donations. However, we have more than 12,000 supporters in our dataset and they deserve more sophisticated cultivation and messaging than just one-size-fits-all emails. I'd love to share lessons learned with other users.

Hi Robin! Thanks for your note. Marily and I had planned to connect, but I ended up having a conflict and having to cancel.

In May I'm going to be doing some work to configure EveryAction for us to better support donor cultivation. It's a good time to connect on our side.

I can offer to schedule a meeting for next week to level-set on how we're all using EveryAction, and explore areas of mutual interest. I'll DM you and Marily, and post the time that we come up with back on this thread.

    Howdy.

We had a really good meeting last week. We decided we'd try to meet periodically - like every 2-3 months. The next one is not yet scheduled... and I forget who was going to schedule it.

My colleague Munirah, who's not on this AFP board, did not want to meet more frequently than quarterly. But if y'all want to meet more regularly - don't let that stop you.

I'm currently working to embellish and clean-up our Activist Codes, per the best practices Robin shared ;)

Hopefully by next time we meet and talk, I'll have more to share. My stretch goal is to hook EveryAction up to AirTable via Zapier. https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations/everyaction

I think this would allow us more possibilities with donor cultivation workflows. I think I'll need to set aside a full day to play with it and see if I can get it working. If anyone has tried something similar, let me know!

    My best,
    ❤️ Adam
