A careerlong fundraiser, Michael J. Buckley, CFRE is a consultant, coach and speaker who has assisted non-profits across a broad spectrum of focus areas increase dollars, exposure and capacity to support the work of their organization. As the Founder and Managing Partner of The Killoe Group, Mike's extensive experience includes annual campaign audits and management, capital campaign leadership, feasibility studies, interim and fractional program leadership, board governance, strategic planning and capacity building.

Previous to his consulting career, Mike held senior leadership positions in both the higher education and animal welfare space, including as the Chief Philanthropy & External Affairs Officer at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Albany, NY. In this role, Mike had overall responsibility for unrestricted, capital and legacy giving, including leadership of the organization’s first successful capital campaign. Mike began his fundraising career as a student phon-a-thon caller at his undergraduate alma mater, Castleton State College (VT).

Mike brings a unique combination of strategic insight, hands-on experience, and commitment to campaign management. With a proven record of leading successful capital campaigns, Mike understands the intricate dynamics of high-impact fundraising. His deep expertise allows him to structure campaigns that not only meet but exceed financial targets, while also enhancing an organization’s long-term fundraising capabilities.

Mike is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals including leadership positions within the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy and the Fundraising Effectiveness Project. In his home community, Mike serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Saratoga Independent School.
