Join Korn Ferry for the latest AFP Emerging Leader Affinity Group Meeting on the topic of using professional interviewing as a tool to attain a job and investigate possible opportunities. This topic will go into facets of interviewing to support both career growth and job search. This session will be professionally facilitated including a guided group discussion with time for breakouts and a group Q&A.

Joshua

Josh Daniel is a Career Coach with Korn Ferry Advance based in the Firm's Dallas office.

Mr. Daniel partners with clients to identify actionable goals, develop and optimize career resources, and overcome internal/external barriers preventing ideal professional outcomes.

Mr. Daniel comes from a background including over ten years of experience within training and development, professional coaching, and career advising services. He specializes in working with individuals navigating career transitions and relies on principles of strategic inquiry, positive psychology, and direct accountability.

Mr. Daniel began his career within the U.S. Army where he gained experience in the design and implementation of international training initiatives across the Middle East and Horn of Africa. He has since worked within nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and corporate environments as a professional, executive, and career coach.

Most recently, Mr. Daniel held a position as a program manager within a nonprofit technology startup in partnership with a Fortune 500 company. In that role, he had the opportunity to spearhead a career advancement initiative which strongly relied on his expertise in training facilitation, coaching, and career advising.

Previously, Mr. Daniel received a Master of Management Science degree in Organizational Behavior and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a foundation in Business Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. In addition to his accredited education, Mr. Daniel holds a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from UT Dallas and has been awarded a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF).


Abbi Haggerty – AFP Emerging Leader Task Force

AbbiAbbi Haggerty became Executive Director of Richmond Performing Arts Alliance (RPAA) in 2019 after returning to the organization as Director of Development in 2016. She previously held roles with RPAA in the development department, first in 2003 and later in 2011. With 18 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience, Abbi began her career at VMFA and has since served in senior-level positions with the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence and John Tyler Community College. 

Abbi earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree and Ph.D. in public policy and administration (with a concentration in nonprofit management) from VCU. She teaches as an adjunct professor at University of Richmond in the master's of nonprofit studies program.

Abbi currently serves as President-Elect and Program Chair for the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)-Central Virginia Chapter and is on the Emerging Leaders Task Force of AFP Global. She has researched turnover in the fundraising profession and presented at national conferences on nonprofit culture and employee retention.
