Membership Month Chapter Program

When:  Thu, Oct 8, 2026 from 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  AFP FL, Polk County Chapter

This Membership Month, we are bringing you an Educational Session and our Annual Panel discussion! Join us to hear from Tracy Vanderneck, president of PhilCom, a nonprofit industry leader who works with organizations to improve both their governance and fundraising. She is an inspiring coach and partner that helps nonprofit staff and boards ensure their strategy and actions are aligned with their mission, purpose, and values. Following the Educational Session and lunch, we will hear from community leaders on best practices and strategies for fundraising in Polk County and beyond.

IGNITING YOUR BOARD FOR STRONGER ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

Serving on a nonprofit board is an important responsibility, but it is not always an easy one. Board members need the right tools to:

  • Understand their role in the organization
  • Stay motivated to support the mission
  • Explore the many ways they can engage fully in board service, including fundraising
  • Recognize the importance of building a strong board culture

This lunchtime session brings together board members and staff to explore ways to strengthen board passion, participation, and impact for the good of the organization.

Foundation and Corporate Giving Panel Discussion

Speakers: John Doran (Publix Super Markets Charities), Lori Martini (GiveWell Community Foundation), Dawn Willis (Orlando Health). Panel moderated by Tracy Vanderneck, MSM, CFRE
