Americans by and large are generous with their time, talent and treasure supporting the causes they care about. Yet, giving and volunteering, overall has not increased significantly over time. For February’s chapter presentation, Missy Gale, CFRE, president and CEO of M. Gale, will share the recommendations released by the Generosity Commission in September and lead a discussion of the work professionals across the country are embarking on as a result. We’ll discuss giving trends, the everyday giver and volunteer and uncounted generosity and how we as professionals can help move the needle.
As president and founder of M. Gale, Missy Gale, CFRE, has three decades of experience in fundraising and public relations for various nonprofit sectors including hospitals, museums, educational institutions, and community service organizations. Missy’s professional organizational experience is in health care and cultural non-profit organizations in both fundraising and public relations. She and her team have helped nonprofit organizations across the country develop campaign strategies, implement major giving and relationship-driven fundraising programs, and elevate the fundraising prowess of staff, CEOs and board members.
