2021 February Members Webinar

When:  Feb 8, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (CT)
Program Title:
The Art & Science of Strategic Storytelling for Social Impact
Driving action on behalf of important social impact issues is the business of nonprofits and their allies, and stories play a large part in that process of influence. Yet, often we get caught up in working to solicit donations or foster support in other ways that we overly control the story in an attempt to present the “perfect” organization. But perfection does not exist and it hinders old-fashioned relationship building. What if we rethought what influence means and how to achieve it through storytelling?

Professor and Story Scientist John Trybus of Georgetown University will share findings from research as well as his own life’s work navigating our sector to showcase what storytelling for social impact will look like in the future and what this means for your organization. This hands-on workshop will help you and your team to create purposeful stories of impact to drive donations while adhering to a mission of social justice while also strengthening a culture of storytelling. Get ready to combine art and science in service to creating and sharing stories that matter
