True and Lasting Impact: Join us for the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Mentoring Session celebrating Black History Month featuring Southern University, an identified Historically Black University. Join us to learn how advancement officers work diligently to connect donors' passion and commitments to support Southern University students. Robert Easly and his colleagues from Southern University will speak about their highly successful campaign for raising funds for the competitive Top Jags scholarship, as well as many other scholarships available to Southern University students.

The presentation discussion will be focused around a charitable lead and remainder trust session for our AFP chapter. It will include investment product examples that work most effectively depending on the size of a nonprofit or the gifts in question.


BIO

Ed has served several civic, government, and education organizations. He began his financial services career in 2015.  He is securities registered through LPL Financial with a Series 6,63 and holds the Series 65 registration through Strategic Financial Concepts.  He is also an Investment Advisor Representative with Strategic Financial Concepts.  Additionally, Ed holds the FSCP designation.  
 
Prior to his financial services career, Ed was a public school teacher and retired with 20 years in the classroom.   In addition to serving his clients, he is also an adjunct instructor at ExamFX, teaching Life and Health pre-licensing classes.  
 
Ed is a graduate of Brother Martin High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Orleans.  
 
Ed has facilitated retirement workshops in Jefferson and St. Tammany Parishes.  Additionally, he has presented for numerous non- profit associations, educating boards about financial planning in the non-profit sector.
