According to one of Canada’s top fundraising recruitment specialists, the average length of employment for fundraising professionals is 17 months…that’s down from the 18 months often quoted. What’s wrong here? Our sector speaks loudly about the critical need to build trusting relationship with donors – to be blunt, 17 months just doesn’t cut it.
Almost all of us have been fired from a job or left well before we originally had hoped. Does it have to be this way? How can staffers avoid the hurt and upset of being let go? What can fundraising practitioners do before and during their employment to increase their odds of having a long, meaningful, and rewarding tenure? And what responsibility do charity senior leadership and HR leaders have in all this?
This session will look at how to avoid being let go by knowing what you’re getting in to upfront, and what practical steps we can take to help ensure a great fit . We will also look at the Employer’s role in recruitment and retention for maximum success.
This will be a practical, fast -paced and interactive session with a pre-session/follow up case to be sent to attendees. Our expert speakers:
