Rocky Mountain Philanthropy Institute (RMPI) is AFP Colorado’s annual conference dedicated to bringing Colorado nonprofit leaders and learners together to grow, network, and rejuvenate.

Building upon the success of last year’s virtual conference, RMPI 2021 will be brought to you again in real-time via your home or wherever you access the internet. Should circumstances allow, intimate regional gatherings will be available for in-person networking.

RMPI 2021 will kick off with an action-packed afternoon on Thursday, September 9, leading up to the main events on Friday, September 10.  You can look forward to the best of RMPI 2021:

  • An enlightening fireside chat with keynote speaker, Edgar Villanueva, the globally-recognized racial justice activist, philanthropist, and author of “Decolonizing Wealth: Indigenous Wisdom to Heal Divides and Restore Balance”

  • Nadia Hallgren, storyteller extraordinaire, and award winning director of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s documentary "Becoming", will help us think bigger about the possibilities that lie ahead for our sector

  • Multiple educational and engaging speaker sessions of your choice
  • Entertaining emceeing by Reggie Rivers himself
  • Networking opportunities with fundraisers from across the state

This year’s conference, “Purpose and Possibility” will provide nonprofit professionals the opportunity to brush up on fundraising skills, network, and set intentions for a post-pandemic era where a world of possibility lies ahead. We believe that our industry has the opportunity to lead the charge in embracing change and setting a purposeful and inclusive path forward. By coming together to learn and grow during RMPI 2021, together we can work towards the possibility of tomorrow. Join us for this immersive, inspiring and collaborative conference – you won’t be disappointed!

This page will be continually updated with more information about RMPI registration and sessions – stay tuned!

HOW TO HOST AN IN-PERSON GATHERING FOR THE VIRTUAL RMPI CONFERENCE

We are committed to making this year’s virtual conference more engaging and accessible than ever, but rather than participate in RMPI alone from your desk or couch, why not put together a conference pod? If you’re interested in sharing the experience with your friends, colleagues and other local fundraisers, we’ve got you covered. Check out our suggestions for hosting an in-person conference pod where you can enjoy the conference activities together.

Also, stay tuned for information on regional opportunities to network in-person after the conference sessions on Thursday, September 9th.
