Dominique Primer is an experienced certified nonprofit professional with expertise in organizational strategy, project management, volunteer and community engagement, and government relations. She has extensive experience working with leadership teams, boards and donors and a strong ability to develop and implement sustainable strategies and programs that are aligned with the organization's growth and strategic plan.
Dominique joins ALSAC/St. Jude as the Director of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend after serving as the Director of Community Engagement at Junior Achievement of Memphis. Since returning home to Memphis in 2017, Dominique has been dedicated to serving the Memphis community with her skills and talent through community engagement, strategic partnerships, and volunteer management.
Dominique is an active member of the Memphis community, and volunteers with various local and national nonprofit organizations including Keepers of 306 – committee for the National Civil Rights Museum, Junior League of Memphis. Dominique also serves on the board for Center for Transforming Communities, the Memphis and Mid-South Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association.
When she’s not working to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Hospital, she serves as a volunteer head coach for SWIM Academy Stingrays, Memphis East High School, and Maxine Smith STEAM Academy. As the founder of SWIM Academy Stingrays, she is committed to increasing the number of minority swimmers in the sport of swimming. Dominique believes that every child should learn to swim.
Dominique received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies from Hampton University, a Master of Public Administration in Non – Profit Management, from Arkansas State University and Master of Arts in International Relations, from Webster University.
