President - Kelly Paley
is the Director of Community Engagement for The Bridge Youth & Family Services. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Human Resources.

Kelly is looking forward to returning to the Board of AFP BC Interior Chapter in a leadership capacity. Having previously served as Communications Chair, IDEA Chair and as a member of the Education committee, she is excited to take on this new role.

Kelly believes that there is amazing potential for the association to grow, foster connections and collaboration, support one another, enhance educational opportunities, and have some fun. Connect with her on LinkedIn

Mischa.jpg Immediate Past-President - Mischa Mueller, MA, CFRE is a Director of Philanthropy at the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation. Prior to moving back to the Okanagan in 2015, he was working at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Justin's personal and professional goal is to empower global collective impact by making it as easy as possible for money to go from a donor to a charities bank account. Richelle.jpg Richelle Leckey is the Community Engagement Coordinator for BGCO and has been working in the not-for-profit world for most of her career. Through events, fundraising activities and donor support over $600,000 is raised annually at the Boys and Girls Clubs. Richelle is committed to giving children, youth and families in the Okanagan who need us the most the best chance for a “Great Future”. She believes in the value of working collaboratively with organizations and individuals who are passionate about helping all young people become healthy, successful contributing members of society.
National Philanthropy Day - Chandel Schmidt

Chande lis Senior Director, Philanthropic Programs for the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation. In her 11+ years with the organization she has held roles in administration, events, communications, annual programs and campaign management. Chandel has a Bachelor of Management from UBC Okanagan and also holds her CFRE.  Her passion is for finding simple and efficient solutions for donor-centred communication and engagement.

IDEA Chair - Emily Cabrera

Emily Cabrera is the Lead of Partnership Development with First People’s Cultural Foundation supporting the vitality of Indigenous languages, arts and cultural heritage. She has worked in the philanthropic sector for the past decade whether it's been in small shops or large institutions. Emily believes in transparency and truth and making philanthropy a safe and welcoming environment for those exploring the field. She hopes to continuously learn about how we can influence change in the sector, and bring greater diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility to our Interior communities through philanthropy.

Bradley Bostock

Kathleen Lemieux, CFRE

Kathleen is a high impact fundraising professional with over 20 years experience in the not-for profit sector. She’s passionate about philanthropy, and is the founder of Do Gooders Inc. Kathleen values integrity, reliability, and making a difference and has experienced repeated success strategically developing and executing fundraising plans of action. She’s is a founding member of the AFP Okanagan Chapter’s board and has been an AFP member for 19 years. Kathleen spearheaded fundraising and awareness programs for Habitat for Humanity Okanagan, the Kelowna Women’s Shelter and Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities Association. She has been an active member and board member of Toastmasters over the years and was the Director of Logistics for Loyal Woolridge’s successful 2018 campaign for Kelowna city council.  She currently works with a variety of small and large not-for-profits through digital marketing, grant writing and resource development initiatives.  LinkedIn Profile  |  Book a meeting

  Trevor Freeman

Trevor has been working in the charitable sector for over ten years. Fundraising and donor relationships have always been core pieces of his work but this is his first time in a dedicated fundraising role. He loves the relationship building that is at the heart of good fundraising and has a passion for building communities of compassion. It is an exciting thing to be engaged in the work of making the world better. Trevor has recently finished a Master’s degree at UBC Okanagan and has lived in Kelowna for 8 years. More than anything else he is grateful that he gets to be a husband and a dad to his wife Lauren and his two young boys, Solomon and Malachi.
