The AFP DC Young Professionals Affinity group is one of the largest affinity groups within the AFP DC chapter. If that sounds surprising here are some things to consider:
- a) all AFP DC members who join or renew their membership and are 31 or under, are automatically a member of the Young Professionals group;
- b) the special rate for Young Professionals is very attractive to both potential members and their organizations that may be paying for their membership;
- c) being a Young professional can be hard! Starting your career, navigating the internal office politics and staying abreast of the industry’s top trends are all easier when you have a network that’s got your back.
If you are 31 or under and have ever wanted to attend an AFP event but you were nervous about being the youngest in the room, or you were afraid you wouldn’t have anything to say in conversation, never fear!
Join us! Tuesday July 31st the Young Professionals Affinity Group is hosting an outing to the ball field. This is the perfect opportunity to meet other YPGers, talk shop, enjoy a cold beer and watch the Nats take on the Mets. Although members and non-members of all ages are welcome to attend, young professionals in the fundraising field are highly encouraged. Link to Register is here.
Also, if you are looking for ways to be more involved with this group and get to know your peers on a deeper level, please consider joining the Young Professionals Planning Committee.
