National Philanthropy Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Eastern Iowa. We invite you to join us to THANK all of those doing amazing acts of kindness throughout the corridor. 

This year, we invite you to join us for a lunch reception and awards ceremony at the Courtyard Iowa City University Heights. You can reserve your spot today. Registration will close on November 7!

Seats for the ceremony will be first come, first serve. Please invite your executive directors, associates and other philanthropic individuals.

Quinn Pettifer, of The Gazette, will be our navigator through the ceremony again this year. We are excited to bring back the honoree panel by popular demand again this year!

Quinn Pettifer

Manager of Brand Initiatives, Editorial Board Member at The Gazette

Quinn Pettifer is the Manager of Brand Initiatives, Nonprofit Liaison and Editorial Board Member for The Gazette, an ESOP owned media-company that has served Eastern Iowa since 1883.

Quinn applies her enthusiasm and knowledge of the region to connect individuals to their areas of interest while identifying tools and resources that will encourage people to learn, engage, and lead. 

Current responsibilities include management of the events team, who create and execute signature Gazette events such as Festival of Trees (happening November 18-19!) and serves as a team lead on  a variety of learning based initiatives -including the statewide idea sharing event Iowa Idea, and the annual philanthropic program The Gazette Gives Back. The Gazette Gives Back is an annual program designed for nonprofits to network, learn about the latest community initiatives, develop partnerships, and of course, receive free advertising to help build awareness of the resources they make available to individuals and families. Quinn serves as a community liaison with a variety of area groups, including the Inclusive ICR coalition, Horizons Board of Directors, United Way’s Workplace Learning Council, Foundation 2’s Group Violence Intervention Governance Council, Youth Leadership for Five Seasons, the Envision East Central Iowa Workplace Pillar Committee, and more.
