Jennifer Neil, CFRESr. Executive Director of Gift Planning
Boise State University
Jennifer began working for Boise State University in 2003 as development director for two colleges as well as serving as director of gift planning. Currently Jennifer serves as Sr. Executive Director of Gift Planning securing major, deferred and noncash gift assets. Jennifer also serves as Sr. Director of Development for the School of Public Service.
During Jennifer’s tenure at Boise State, she has raised over $90,000,000 in major and deferred gifts; including serving as lead project manager for a campaign to raise $14,000,000 in funding for the Alumni and Friends Center.
Jennifer’s prior fundraising experience comprises seven years at the United States Naval Academy and three years at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis, MD, developing gift-planning programs at each institution. She has degrees in pre-law and interior design; and obtained credentials as Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) in 2008 and has continued to recertify every three years.
Jennifer serves as a board member of the Wyakin Foundation, dedicated to assisting wounded veterans in their academic careers; she has been a board member of the Southwest Idaho Council of Gift Planners since 2004; and is a past board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Idaho Chapter.
