NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY DAY Committee

The National Philanthropy Day Committee leads the planning and execution of AFP Indian River’s signature annual event celebrating the extraordinary impact of philanthropy in our community. Working alongside AFP leadership, this committee helps recognize outstanding philanthropists, volunteers, fundraisers, organizations, and businesses whose generosity and service make a lasting difference throughout Indian River County.

This is a dynamic and collaborative committee for those who enjoy event planning, relationship building, creative problem-solving, and bringing people together for a meaningful cause. Committee members may assist with sponsorships, nominations, logistics, marketing, volunteer coordination, program development, guest experience, and event-day support. Time commitment varies throughout the year, with increased involvement as the event approaches; meetings are typically held monthly (hybrid).

Committee members will gain valuable experience in event planning, project management, sponsorship development, community engagement, teamwork, and leadership while helping create one of the chapter’s most impactful and inspiring annual celebrations.
