Cimone Trysla has donated countless hours throughout her high school career. At a time when most teens are focused on friends, phones, and fun, her attention has been fixed on serving others. Through serving as Team Up for St. Jude Kansas City Board Chair Person the last two years, Cimone raised funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition to leading her own school’s fundraising efforts and soliciting approximately $35,000 of sponsorships there, she also led ten other Kansas City area schools in their fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In Team Up, Cimone has helped to create a sustainable program that will continue in Kansas City area schools, even after she has graduated and moved on to college. She has already inspired numerous students to learn more about the fight to end childhood cancer, and her legacy will continue to motivate future students in this mission, as well.
