Lisa Mark Lis was born and raised in Detroit and attended Michigan State University. Her passions are family, community, Israel, and politics. She is a past chair of the Jewish Women’s Foundation and past president of Jewish Women’s Philanthropy. She has participated and led numerous missions to Israel and has been involved with organizations like Gleaners, Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Zioness, Forgotten Harvest, National Women’s Philanthropy, and Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. She currently sits on the boards of the Detroit Zoological Society and Tamarack Camps. She is the recipient of past awards from Jewish Federation, Hillel Day School, American Jewish Committee, Jewish National Fund and American Technion Society.

Originally from Haifa, Israel, Hannan Lis is a serial entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Lis Ventures LLC, a venture fund investing in emerging technologies and companies. He is a principal and co-founder of GSH Group LLC, a Michigan-based national owner and operator of apartment communities. He is chairman and founder of Firebolt Group, a Michigan-based international lighting, display, and software technology company; chairman of VeriShow Inc, an international web collaboration and communication company; and until the sale of the company in March 2021, principal, COO of The WW Group, Inc. (Weight Watchers’ largest franchise group).

He is passionate about building resilient communities and has served in many organizations. He is board member and past Chairman of both Forgotten Harvest and Detroit Public Television. Previously he served as a member of the board of JDC (a NYC based international rescue and relief organization), President of the Jewish Community Centers of Metropolitan Detroit, national Board member of the American Jewish Committee, Midwest President and National Vice President of JNF, and a member of the Detroit Federation Board of Governors. He served as President of American Technion Society Detroit Chapter and was also a member of ATS National Board of Governors. He is past President of Michigan Israel Business Bridge, an advocacy organization promoting trade between Israel and Michigan.

Hannan and Lisa Mark Lis have been married for 39 years and together raised four children, Ariella (Tzvi), Liat (Kyle), Mataan and Aviv. They are also the delighted grandparents to Hadassa, Yehudit, and Harel Raviv.
