What is a Distinguished Volunteer?
A Distinguished Volunteer directly contributes to your non-profit organization's success. Someone who inspires you with their passion and motivation for your cause. Perhaps they're a board member, a volunteer, or a special supporter that always goes the extra mile- closing the gap on donations or always willing to do what they can to help out. National Philanthropy Day celebrates them, their commitment to your organization and philanthropy as a whole!
How will Distinguished Volunteers be recognized?
Upon completing the Distinguished Volunteer Submission Form, volunteers will be recognized on the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Greater Detroit Chapter website and included in the National Philanthropy Day Program. The 2024 Distinguished Volunteer's names will be announced during the National Philanthropy Day Celebration on November 13, 2024 at the Henry Ford, and each volunteer will receive a medal acknowledging their outstanding efforts.
What should I know before submitting a Distinguished Volunteer form?
The deadline for Distinguished Volunteer Submissions is Monday, October 21, 2024. Only volunteers submitted before this date will be included in the National Philanthropy Day printed program and presentation. Ticket purchase is required for each individual attending the AFP-GDC National Philanthropy Day Celebration, including nominators and volunteers. Volunteer photos will be a part of the presentation shared during the NPD Celebration, so please be sure to submit a high quality photo. Phonetic spelling of each volunteer is required to ensure all names are correctly recorded to be played aloud during this program.
