The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Southern Minnesota chapter is one of AFP's most active and engaged small chapters in the United States. Since its inception in 2003, the chapter has been a pilot site for several new AFP Global programs, and members have served on the AFP Global and AFP Foundation for philanthropy Boards. Chapter members from throughout Southern Minnesota have experienced great benefits from chapter meetings, peer networking, and professional training opportunities. Collectively, the current chapter membership has a wealth of experience in all aspects of fundraising. This expertise, along with resources of AFP Global, make membership a must for all Southern Minnesota fundraising professionals.

A Message from Our Board President
I am honored to serve as the President of the AFP Southern MN Chapter Board of Directors for 2025. Each day, our AFP members dedicate themselves to supporting non-profit organizations that enhance our local communities.
Through their involvement in AFP, our members develop the skills necessary to lead their organizations, collaborate with donors and partners to fund our essential missions, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics to maintain public trust in the non-profit sector. Additionally, they foster valuable relationships within our field, exchanging ideas, supporting one another, and championing philanthropy in our community.
I invite our members to make the most of your AFP membership:
• Attend our monthly educational meetings
• Network and workshop ideas at our 4th Friday discussions
• Explore the library of resources available through AFP national organization
• Be inspired by National Philanthropy Day and its annual award ceremony.
