The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Southern Minnesota chapter is one of AFP's most active and engaged small chapters in the United States. Since its inception in 2003, the chapter has been a pilot site for several new AFP Global programs, and members have served on the AFP Global and AFP Foundation for philanthropy Boards. Chapter members from throughout Southern Minnesota have experienced great benefits from chapter meetings, peer networking, and professional training opportunities. Collectively, the current chapter membership has a wealth of experience in all aspects of fundraising. This expertise, along with resources of AFP Global, make membership a must for all Southern Minnesota fundraising professionals.

On 20 years of AFP Southern Minnesota!

Why join AFP?

Here are some of the reasons our members love the AFP Southern Minnesota Chapter!

"Hello, Friends in Fundraising!

It is my privilege to serve once again as your Chapter President for AFP Southern Minnesota, especially during an anniversary year! Our 20TH anniversary is a special one. It says something about the continued need for excellent professional development opportunities in our region as well as the value that AFP Southern Minnesota continues to bring to fundraising professionals. I think back on the early days of hosting audioconferences in 2003, when we were talking about chapter formation. So much has changed, yet so much remains the same: the importance of our relationships and our learning together!"

"Becoming a member of AFP provides an opportunity to learn and grow with and from others in our profession. In our roles we advocate and fundraise for a myriad of important causes - becoming an AFP member helps us to be more effective in what we do, ad ensure that the organizations we serve can fulfill their missions. As members of AFP, we learn skills, develop knowledge and networks, and commit to a code of ethics that builds trust and respect for the fundraising profession. We welcome anyone to find out more about how membership can benefit you and your organization by emailing kristin.mannix@rctc.edu."
