What We Need:

We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative, and data-informed fundraising operations leader to join the IWK Foundation as Manager, Pipeline Strategy & Donor Insights. This role is central to strengthening fundraising performance by providing strategic leadership for donor pipeline strategy, fundraising analytics, prospect management, and portfolio optimization across annual, major, principal, and planned giving programs and platforms.

Reporting to the VP, Philanthropy and Development, this role works closely with fundraising leadership, frontline fundraisers, and internal partners to strengthen disciplined, data-informed approaches to donor pipeline development, moves management, forecasting, and portfolio accountability. The Manager provides strategic oversight, analytical guidance, and process leadership to improve fundraising effectiveness, support revenue growth, and enable consistent, high-quality decision-making across the function.

This role brings together four core areas of focus: Pipeline & Portfolio Management, Donor Analytics & Reporting, Strategic Planning & Fundraising Operations, and Leadership & Collaboration. It also plays an important role in connecting donor intelligence and prospect research insights to frontline fundraising strategy. Success in this role will be reflected in stronger pipeline discipline, improved portfolio performance, more actionable reporting and forecasting, and clear cross-functional alignment on fundraising priorities and processes.

The IWK Foundation offers a flexible hybrid work model with a minimum of two in-office days per week.

Strategic Donor Segmentation

  • Provide strategic oversight and analytical support for donor segmentation strategies across fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives.

Data Governance & Reporting Consistency

  • Serve as Philanthropy’s lead on the Foundation’s cross-functional Data Governance work, driving data governance, reporting consistency, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen fundraising intelligence and operational effectiveness.

Pipeline & Portfolio Management

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Foundation’s donor pipeline strategy.
  • Oversee prospect tracking, donor movement, and portfolio optimization across fundraising teams.
  • Partner with frontline fundraisers to support qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and re-engagement strategies.
  • Monitor fundraiser portfolios to support balanced caseloads, strategic activity, and donor progression.
  • Develop systems and processes to support moves management and donor lifecycle tracking.
  • Support campaign pipeline development and revenue forecasting initiatives.

    Donor Analytics & Reporting

    • Lead fundraising analytics and performance reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Develop dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and regular reporting for leadership, fundraising teams, and Board-level reporting.
    • Analyze donor trends, campaign performance, retention, pipeline health, and fundraising outcomes.
    • Identify opportunities through donor segmentation, predictive analytics, and prospect identification.
    • Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for fundraising strategies.

    Strategic Planning & Fundraising Operations

    • Collaborate with fundraising leadership to support annual revenue planning and long-term growth strategies.
    • Provide pipeline forecasting and analytical support for campaigns, funding priorities, and strategic initiatives.
    • Lead cross-functional efforts to strengthen data quality, reduce departmental data silos, eliminate redundant or conflicting datasets, and enable more consistent, effective use of CRM systems and related fundraising processes.
    • Recommend and implement best practices related to prospect management, fundraising analytics, and donor intelligence.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to systems, reporting, and operational effectiveness.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Serve as a key strategic partner to fundraising leadership and frontline teams.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, data-informed decision-making, and collaboration.
    • Train and support staff on pipeline management tools, reporting, and fundraising analytics.
    •  Work closely with Finance, IT, Research, and Database teams to ensure alignment and integration of data and reporting practices.
    • Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI and emerging technologies to modernize data management, shifting key processes from manual, reactive tasks to more automated, predictive, and real-time operations that improve efficiency and support revenue growth.

    Who You Are:

    You are a strategic and analytical fundraising operations leader who is energized by using data, systems, and insight to strengthen donor strategy and fundraising performance. You bring strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to supporting fundraising leaders and frontline teams. You are comfortable balancing detail with strategy, translating complex information into practical recommendations, and working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

    You Offer:

    • 5–7 years’ experience in fundraising operations, donor analytics, prospect management, advancement services, or related roles, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
    • 3+ years’ leadership experience, including direct people leadership and/or leading complex cross-functional work.
    • A relevant degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in business, analytics, fundraising, data management, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of major gifts, donor lifecycle management, pipeline strategy, and portfolio development.
    • Experience with CRM databases, fundraising reporting systems, dashboards, and performance reporting.
    • Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT experience is a strong asset.
    • Experience using data to generate donor insights, support forecasting, and guide fundraising strategy.
    • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • High professionalism, discretion, and respect for donor confidentiality.
