Job Description

Who We Are:

The IWK Foundation, together with its donors, strives to be the catalyst to revolutionize health care and research for children and women. We are committed to continuous improvement and running a business that is entrepreneurial, innovative, and based on strong values.

Recognized as a Top Atlantic Employer and Top Nova Scotia Employer for the second consecutive year, we are proud to foster a people-first culture where purpose, collaboration, and passion drive our work.

The IWK Foundation proudly supports IWK Health, the largest pediatric hospital in the Maritimes and the only children’s hospital east of Montreal equipped to manage any trauma in the region. In partnership with IWK Health, we are helping create the world’s first Mental Health and Addictions Ecosystem so patients and families can access the care they need, when and where they need it. We also recently launched the Women’s Health Equity Now (WHEN™) movement, advancing women’s health and wellness across all stages of life locally, nationally, and globally.

What We Need:

Be part of the future of women’s and children’s healthcare by joining our Community & Corporate Giving team to support programs, events, and fundraising activities that connect people and communities to the IWK’s mission.

Reporting to the Manager, Community & Corporate Giving, the Community Programs Coordinator will focus on the coordination and growth of key Children’s Miracle Network programs and accounts, including Extra Life, Dance Marathon, youth fundraising, and the DIY online fundraising platform, while also supporting event coordination and program awareness initiatives.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and relationship-focused individual who can balance administrative excellence with a passion for building meaningful connections with donors, partners, and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to providing outstanding support to fundraising initiatives that inspire community giving.

The IWK Foundation has a Flexible Work Plan, embracing a hybrid model with the expectation of a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.
