Job Information and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, Advancement Services, the Functional Analyst will:

  • Provide daily support to the Advancement Services team, as well as all other business units across Advancement and is positioned to play a role in University wide system health and development.
  • Work closely with similar positions in Registrar's Office, HR, Enterprise Information Technology, and Finance, to ensure cross departmental flow of processes and data integrity is developed and maintained.
  • Administer and configure security, functionality and processes for numerous information systems in addition to Ellucian CRM Advance and Microsoft Sharepoint, including systems for constituent management, events, communications, reporting, commerce, document management, and collaboration as well as others as they come online.
  • Review release notes to analyze impact of new functionality or enhancements in university information systems and other systems within Advancement.
  • Manage, administer, and keep up to date the documentation related to software system implementation, training and support, as well as documentation related to technical and functional processes and procedures.
  • Develop solutions to both ad hoc and re-occurring reporting requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver training material such as PowerPoint presentations, end user documentation (procedure manuals) and quick reference guides.

Experience and Education Requirements

To be the successful Functional Analyst you will have:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Systems or related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years directly related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint (user and administration), PowerBi, Dynamics and Dynamics365, SQL, SQL Server, SRSS, Visual Studio, Office 365, Ellucian CRM Advance, and Enterprise CRM systems are considered strong assets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently, as well as a in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development to keep pace with rapidly changing technologies.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in training and program evaluation.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Banner system experience an asset.
