The Foundation dreams big and is unapologetic about its goals and aspirations to improve health care for patients from across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
Our work is driven by our vision to transform care, transform lives. And our values are wrapped around everything we do.
- We lead with heart.
- We take integrity to the next level.
- We embrace boldness.
Our people make all the difference. A passionate team of professional staff working together with dedicated and influential business and community leaders on our volunteer Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet and in other volunteer leadership positions help us inspire our communities every day.
The Role
We’re looking for an equally driven and dedicated professional to join our team as a Charitable Giving Advisor, with a Gift Planning focus.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Charitable Giving, the Charitable Giving Advisor will manage a large portfolio of supporters and prospects who have an interest in deferred giving, outright major gift giving, or giving through a will. Through exceptional relationship management, the Charitable Giving Adivsor will be leading every stage of the donor journey - identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
In some cases, involvement in the administration of estate gifts throughout the probate process or insurance policy gifts is required so an understanding of gift planning techniques and some experience is preferred for this role.
In addition, this role works closely with financial and legal advisors to position the QEII Foundation in the wider community.
As the next Foundation team member, the Charitable Giving Advisor will work collaboratively with the rest of the Charitable Giving team to build relationships and to raise funds. Thoughtful and genuine, with exceptional communication abilities and a high degree of emotional awareness, the Charitable Giving Advisor will contribute to significant impact for healthcare advancement.
The hiring range for this position is $71,000 - $80,000 annual salary, dependent upon relevant qualifications and experience. The QEII Foundation offers a highly collaborative and supportive atmosphere, the opportunity for professional growth and development, and a competitive benefits package. We’ve found our groove with opportunities for staff to work and contribute meaningfully both in-person and remotely as part of our flexible working model. The QEII Foundation was recently recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Best Places to Work.
We are looking for someone with previous fundraising experience, who is deeply motivated to make a difference in their community. If this opportunity has your name written all over it, we’d like to hear from you. The QEII Foundation is on an intentional EDI journey and is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
Please forward a cover letter and resume to shelley@hronthego.ca, noting “QEII Foundation candidate submission – Charitable Giving Advisor” in the subject line. Qualified candidates will be interviewed as applications are received so for this reason, there is no set closing date.
We thank all applicants who apply but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
