Who We Are 

 

Brigadoon Village is a non-profit organization with a recreational facility delivering year-round camp programming that seeks to passionately transform the lives of Atlantic Canadian children and youth living with health conditions and other life challenges.  We support campers to reach their full potential through experiential learning, meaningful connections and exceptional fun. 

 

Brigadoon Village is located on Aylesford Lake in the Annapolis Valley with an office located in Halifax’s North End.

Key Responsibilities 

  •          Lead and execute the corporate partnerships strategy, aligning with Brigadoon’s strategic priorities and fundraising goals.
  •          Identify, research, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of corporate prospects and existing partners with a focus on $10,000+ giving capacity.
  •          Develop high-impact sponsorship packages, proposals, and presentations tailored to each prospect’s philanthropic and marketing goals.
  •          Create and deliver meaningful recognition, engagement, and impact, reporting experiences to ensure donor satisfaction and retention.
  •          Collaborate with internal staff teams to develop creative, mission-driven partnership opportunities and sponsorable assets
  •          Support key fundraising events such as Brigadoon’s Campfire Circle, through securing sponsorships and managing corporate relationships
  •          Maintain accurate records and pipeline tracking
  •          Contribute to a culture of philanthropy and innovation within the organization.
  •          Represent Brigadoon at external networking events and industry functions across Nova Scotia
  •          Other duties as required

Qualifications and Characteristics 

  •          Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, business development or a related field.
  •          Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, or business development.
  •          Proven track record in securing and managing sponsorships and corporate donations.
  •          Understanding and commitment to innovation in fundraising practices
  •          Strong relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
  •          Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills including public speaking on behalf of Brigadoon Village.
  •          Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
  •          Excels at managing timelines, working with others to prioritize opportunities
  •          Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and creative problem-solving skills.
  •          Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment of competing priorities
  •          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Blackbaud CRM
  •          Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record checks
  •          Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  •          Availability for some travel within Nova Scotia and flexibility to attend evening/weekend events when required.
