Funding Opportunities

AFP Nova Scotia Chapter Scholarship Opportunities for Fundraising Professionals

The AFP Nova Scotia Chapter is committed to providing grant and scholarship educational opportunities for fundraising professionals in our community for both members and non-members.

Scholarships up to a value of $1,000 are available to fundraising professionals, for both chapter members and non-members, to help defray costs to attend conferences, seminars, and other professional development opportunities. For consideration, applicants will need to complete an application form that will be evaluated by the AFP Nova Scotia Chapter Scholarship Committee. Assessment criteria will consider financial need, whether the candidate is new to the profession, has attended the conference before, commitment to principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA), and the candidate’s contribution to the sector. Candidates will be encouraged to access funding from their employer where possible as well as from other sources of funding (examples below.)

If you have any questions, or would like to suggest additional professions development opportunities to be added to the eligible list below, please contact Scholarship Committee Co-Chairs Tracey Comeau tacomeau@qehfoundation.pe.ca and/or Fiona Valverde fvalverde@pier21.ca

Funding for Fall 2022 has now closed. Please check back soon for more opportunities in January 2023.
