February AFP Luncheon Program: Stewardship Ideas that Work

Join area fundraising professionals for a round table discussion about building relationships with donors through thoughtful and targeted stewardship. Panelists will discuss stewardship successes and fails and will offer ideas that could work for organizations of all sizes.

WSKG,
Rob de la Fuente,
Cornell University, and
Reanna (R.J.) Lavine,
Kitchen Theatre Company.
The panel will be moderated by
Georgia Lesh,
Advancement Services and Alumni Engagement Manager, Boyce Thompson Institute.
Speakers:
John Bell
is the Director of Development and Marketing for WSKG Public Media, including PBS, NPR and Classical Music stations. John has been working in public media for almost 20 years, starting as a volunteer at WPSU at Penn State University before moving to Oregon Public Broadcasting and then to KERA in Dallas Texas. He and his husband moved upstate in March of 2018. His favorite PBS show is Teletubbies and his NPR program of choice is A Way with Words.
A graduate of Binghamton University,
Rob de la Fuente
has worked in higher education fundraising and engagement for almost 20 years and is presently the Senior Director for Donor Relations at Cornell University. He is grateful for his former roles at Binghamton, Cornell University, and Ithaca College as well as the wide breadth of opportunities his career has provided him. His skill sets include frontline fundraising, volunteer management, annual giving, and donor stewardship. Originally from Queens, NY, he loves living in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region.
Reanna (R.J.) Lavine
is an actor and Manager of Growth & Giving at Kitchen Theatre with over 10 years of experience in grassroots fundraising, volunteer coordination, and event planning. At the Kitchen Theatre, R.J. connects people's passions and interests to vital arts programming through community collaboration, personalized stewardship, and storytelling. In both her professional and artistic work, she focuses on building connectivity among people who care about making our community and world a better place.
