November 15th is National Philanthropy Day®. Organized in the 1980s, this day is significant in recognizing the important role philanthropy has had on societal change. Today especially, we celebrate the change we have made, the change we are making and the change that is yet to come.
Each year, our AFP South Eastern Ontario Chapter works with charitable organizations in our communities to recognize and celebrate the amazing contributions of outstanding individuals, families, service groups and businesses who demonstrate the spirit of philanthropy! Annually our chapter seeks nominations in each of the following categories:
* Youth in Philanthropy - Age: 17 and under
* Youth in Philanthropy - Age: 18-23
* Outstanding Corporation/Service Club - 100 Employees/Members or greater
* Outstanding Corporation/Service Club - 99 Employees/Members or fewer
* Outstanding Philanthropist
* Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
* Outstanding Fundraising Professional
