National Philanthropy Day Awards

Outstanding people and organizations known for effecting dynamic changes in our communities have been honored recipients of the Annual Philanthropy Awards hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Oregon and SW Washington since 1986.
The awards are conferred by an esteemed selections panel composed of philanthropists and fundraising professionals, and selected from a diverse field of nominations to recognize the vitality of Oregon and Southwest Washington's non-profits whose work is driven by the extraordinary vision and dedication of outstanding philanthropists and volunteers. This year’s honorees include:

Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation: Greenbrier Companies
Outstanding Philanthropist: Jeff Heatherington
Outstanding Innovative Project: Portland Shed
Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation: Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation
Vollum Award for Lifetime Philanthropic Achievement: Marcia H. Randall
Outstanding Volunteer Group: Stem Like a Girl
Join National Philanthropy Awards Co-VPs Brenda Ray Scott, CFRE and Patrick Tran, along with more than 300 guests, corporate and civic leaders, socially active philanthropists and community volunteers as we celebrate the impact celebration on Monday, November 17, 2025 in the Smith Memorial Ballroom at Portland State University.
The event begins with registration opening at 11:00 am, the luncheon service starting at 11:30 am, and Awards Program beginning at 12:00 pm. During the program, honorees are invited to the stage to be celebrated and to receive their awards. The event typically concludes at 1:30 pm.
