Development and Stewardship Manager

Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank in Reading, PA is seeking an energetic and experienced fundraising
professional to join our Development and Marketing Team as our Development and Stewardship
Manager. This position will report to and collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to manage
Helping Harvest’s donor management database (DonorPerfect) to insure the accuracy and integrity of
donor/prospect records; identify, apply for, and track public and private grant opportunities; support
our major gift initiatives by assisting with identification and research of individual and corporate
prospects and donors; and represent Helping Harvest at community events. This position also will
oversee the stewardship and acknowledgement of major gifts including creating impact and other
custom reports, and will assist in being a liaison for community organizations and corporations who are
doing fundraising activities on behalf of Helping Harvest.


Requirements—Bachelor’s Degree and relevant fundraising experience required, Master’s preferred.
Knowledge of fundraising CRM database systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
valid drivers’ license also required. Occasional work in the evening or on weekends should be expected.
Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank provided $16 million worth of food to over 350 partner agencies in
Berks and Schuylkill Counties, PA in fiscal year 2023. In the Fall of 2023 we will celebrate 40 years of
making in difference for individuals and families dealing with the challenges of hunger and food
insecurity in our community.
