Register with Yahoo!, and this site allows you to keep an online "portfolio" that tracks trading prices for companies of interest, downloadable to spreadsheet format. Offers news, insider trading, historical quotes and charts, all in one nice, free package.

Touts itself as the "world's most comprehensive and easy-to-use online charting and investment research Web sites providing access to interactive charts, quotes, reports and indicators on over 50,000 stocks, mutual funds and market indexes." I like it because it is one of the few sites that provides historical stock quotes for the entire decade.

Provides short definitions of investing terms. Here is a sample definition for Bond Rating: "A measure of the quality and safety of a bond, based on the issuer's financial condition. More specifically, an evaluation from a rating service indicating the likelihood that a debt issuer will be able to meet scheduled interest and principal repayments. Typically, AAA is highest (best), and D is lowest (worst).

Contact information for state assessor offices and data portal for state assessor records and other public records. Some info is free and other info available for a price. Really nice user interface!
