The Association of Fundraising Professionals - Sierra Chapter, founded in 1988, is based in Reno and has more than 75 active members from Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Lake Tahoe, and the surrounding northern Nevada communities.  

The chapter offers educational meetings, networking opportunities, a yearly Training Conference, and our Annual National Philanthropy Day Cornerstone Awards Event as well as many other unique opportunities for members such as our Mentor Program. Apply now for the Chamberlain Scholarship!

The AFP Foundation offers every AFP chapter one Chamberlain Scholarship, which covers the recipient’s full registration to AFP ICON 2027 in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition, the AFP Sierra Chapter Chamberlain Recipient will receive a $500 reimbursement for travel expenses.

The Chamberlain Scholarship program honors Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE, who dedicated his career to advancing the fundraising profession and generously supported the AFP Foundation through both annual and planned gifts. His legacy lives on through this scholarship, designed to open doors for fundraisers to grow and learn.

Eligibility: Applicants must be employed as full-time fundraising professionals or spend at least 50% of their time fundraising for their employer, and must never have attended an AFP International Conference.
