About

National Philanthropy Day™ (NPD), this year celebrating 30 years, is a special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – have made to our lives, our communities, and our world. The Shenandoah Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will host this year's luncheon event on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Hotel Madison Ballrooms in downtown Harrisonburg, VA.

The Shenandoah Chapter has celebrated NPD since 1990. Through NPD, we are able to show appreciation for all that has been accomplished in the name of giving, as well as demonstrating that there is still more to do. It's our chance to remind the Valley, that the spirit of giving is alive and well.
