About Our Chapter

Providing individuals engaged in fundraising the confidence and tools to be successful.

General Information
The chapter was organized in 1995 to serve the area west of the Washington DC suburbs to West Virginia and north into Maryland.

Monthly Membership Meetings
The Chapter holds 9 monthly membership meetings each year.  We meet at breakfast on the second Tuesday of each month.  Due to special events in July (VFRI), November (NPD), and December (Holiday Social), we do not hold a membership meeting.
Monthly Membership Meeting Locations 
The majority of our meetings will be held at The George Washington Hotel, Winchester, Virginia unless otherwise stated in the e-mail invitation. Two meetings a year are held at the Purple Iris, 1956 Winchester Ave, Martinsburg, WV.  Please check the location of our events carefully, as we serve a broad geographical area and are working to ensure that events are held in a variety of locations.

Conferences and Symposiums
AFP VA Tri-State periodically offers special conferences and symposiums on specific topics of interest to our membership.  AFP members may attend these events at a reduced rate.


The Virginia Tri-State Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals promotes inclusion, diversity, equity, and equal access, as they are integral to ethical fundraising, professional growth, and effective advocacy for our profession and for the communities that we serve.
