About AFP Connect

Welcome to AFP Connect! We are excited to offer these online community forums and provide a place for our members to share information and insights, learn more from colleagues on particular topics, and connect with fellow AFP members!

Upon logging in for the first time, you were asked to review and agree to the terms of the AFP Connect Code of Conduct. You may also refer to the Code at any time (link top left) should you have any questions about the use of the community.

The Open Forum is AFP Connect's flagship community (you automatically belong by being a member). Here, you can connect with your fellow AFP members on any fundraising topic!
We also feature several Topic-Specific Interest Communities as well as Affinity Group Communities that we feel are most relevant to member interests. All AFP members may participate in these communities, but will be required to join each one.

To join a community, simply click on a community link, or go to the "Communities" tab, select "All Communities" and then search or filter for "Special Interest Communities" or (for the Affinity Groups) "AFP Task Force & Working Groups" to find and join them!

If you have any questions or have suggestions on what could make the community forums better, please feel free to reach out using the Contact Us link below!

A Note Regarding Forum Posting

As you use AFP Connect, please be sure to post your message or documents only to the most appropriate communities. This helps ensure all messages receive the best response by eliminating "noise."

If you do have a document to share, please consider posting in the Library section of the community of interest. You can also find all shared documents there! And by posting in this manner, we cut down on threads where everyone posts about wanting the same document (and save the document-sharer a lot of time instead of emailing each particular person!).

Our intended goal is to keep the AFP Connect experience as "organic" and member-driven as possible. Unless there is a violation of our ethical standards or community code of conduct, AFP staff will not typically remove a post or ban a user. On occasion, if we are aware of information or other materials on the AFP website or other site that might be useful to answer a question, we will point to that resource. Otherwise, we will encourage members to share, ask and discuss as much as they would like.
