Sponsored Webinar — The Evolution of Peer-to-Peer: Engaging the Next Generation of Donors

When:  Jun 24, 2026 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM (ET)

1:00-2:00 PM Eastern

Nonprofits are facing a growing challenge: fewer donors are participating, even as giving reaches record highs. At the same time, younger generations are redefining what fundraising looks like, making it more social, interactive, and community-driven.

Peer-to-peer fundraising has long been a powerful way to engage supporters. But as donor behavior shifts, the model is evolving. Nonprofits need to adapt in order to engage the next generation of donors.

Today’s most effective campaigns look less like traditional peer-to-peer and more like community-driven fundraising. Often referred to as creator-led fundraising, these approaches empower individuals to engage their own audiences in ways that feel authentic, social, and participatory.

In this session, hear from the strategist behind one of the most successful modern fundraising campaigns, St. Jude and Ryan Trahan's 50 States in 50 Days, and learn how giving fundraisers the freedom to show up as themselves can unlock deeper engagement and stronger results.

We’ll explore a repeatable framework for modern peer-to-peer fundraising:
Participation mechanics → community momentum → higher conversion and repeat giving.

From livestreams to polls, rewards, milestones, auctions, and real-time interaction, discover how interactive tactics are reshaping donor engagement and how nonprofits can evolve their peer-to-peer strategies to reach the next generation of donors.

Presenter:

Jason Heitman, Principal, Creator Fundraising Strategy, Tiltify
Jason Heitman has spent his career at the intersection of community and cause, believing that the most powerful fundraising isn't an ask, it's a place where people belong. After nearly nine years at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC, he learned what it really means to fundraise for a mission with purpose: that generosity isn't a transaction, it's an act of belief in the greater good. His "think with your heart" mantra has shaped his work with donors, fundraisers, and brands, galvanizing people to give with more than just their wallets.

Jason has spent the last 15 years thriving in a startup mindset: scrappy, light-speed environments where you build the plane while flying it and figure out what matters by doing the good work. His four years serving in the United States Navy prepared him for a life where the mission comes first and showing up when it's hard is the whole job.

Now at Tiltify, Jason brings that expertise to creating impactful experiences for creators and their communities, the kind that turn a moment into a movement and leave lasting change in their wake. The fundraising space has never been more alive with possibility, and he's here for all of it, chaotic and passionate as ever.

Jason is a forever proud beggar — and he wouldn't have it any other way.
