As a member of Korn Ferry Advance’s career coaching team, David Meintrup assists career professionals to navigate job search and personal work obstacles.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2019, David has had over 15 years of career coaching experience in top outplacement firms, as well as coached MBAs across four business schools. He has extensive experience working with global job seekers, as well as middle managers and executives working through difficult transitions due to layoffs and relocations.
Mr. Meintrup has a Bachelor degree in Media Communications. After receiving his Master of Arts in Counseling, he discovered career coaching and it has been a passion of his ever since. He is a Certified Career Coach with the Career Coach Institute.
David Woodruff is a veteran fundraiser and non-profit executive with over 40 years of experience. He currently serves as Consulting Partner in the firm of Marts & Lundy, an international consulting firm dedicated to philanthropy.
David served as Associate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Resource Development at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 2012 and 2022. There he oversaw front-line and support operations of a development team that raised more than $500 million per year. David directed the MIT’s $6 billion comprehensive campaign, The MIT Campaign for a Better World, which concluded in 2021 and surpassed the goal closing at $6.24 billion.
David first worked at MIT between 1984 and 2002. His assignments included corporate fundraising and individual giving and he led the major gifts team in MIT's successful $2 billion campaign in 1997-2004, Calculated Risks/Creative Revolutions. He also represented the Institute throughout the Asia-Pacific region and headed MIT's international fundraising strategy.
Between 2002 and 2008, David was Chief Development Officer at Harvard School of Public Health where he headed up initial planning for the school’s portion of a Harvard University campaign. David and his team brought donors to Botswana, India, Tibet, China, and Cyprus to witness first-hand the work of the school and understand the role of philanthropy in executing the school’s global mission.
From 2008 to 2012, David held the post of Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for Development at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where he oversaw overall development operations and guided the execution of the hospital's successful $1.5 billion campaign, The Campaign for the Third Century of Medicine.
David is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Massachusetts where he served as president from 2019 – 2021. He continues to serve on the board where he recently launched a two-day course designed for emerging leaders. At the AFP Global level, David is a member of the AFP IDEA Emerging Leaders Committee. He was named a 2024 Blackbaud Mentor.
David received his bachelor's degree from MIT and master's degree from Stanford University. David also earned his MBA from Babson College and received a certificate in Leadership and Management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. In 2017 he was the recipient of CASE's Quarter Century Circle Award for fundraising service in higher education. David is also a Certified Fundraising Executive.
Abbi Haggerty Abbi was named Executive Director of Richmond Performing Arts Alliance in 2019 after having previously served the organization in senior-level development roles. With more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Abbi has expertise in organizational management, strategic planning, community engagement, fundraising, governance, and program design. In prior positions, she worked for VMFA, Museum of Science & Industry (Tampa, FL), Brightpoint Community College, and Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence. Abbi earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree and Ph.D. in public policy and administration (with a concentration in nonprofit management) from VCU. She is currently an adjunct assistant professor at University of Richmond in the Nonprofit Studies master's degree program and received the Itzkowitz Family Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award in 2023. Abbi is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond program (Class of 2022), serves as Past President of the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)-Central Virginia Chapter, and is a member of the Emerging Leaders Task Force for AFP Global.
