The grant funding landscape in 2026 is both full of opportunity and harder to navigate than ever. Private foundations are giving more than they're required to, over $109 billion in active federal, state, and private grant funding is available right now, and funders are clearly prioritizing education, human services, and public benefit programs. But competition is intensifying, federal funding remains unpredictable, and most grant teams are stretched too thin to keep up with the volume manually.
This session breaks down what the 2025 philanthropy data actually tells us, where the funding is concentrated and why, and what your organization can do right now to build a more strategic, resilient grant program. We'll also explore how artificial intelligence is changing the way nonprofits find, evaluate, and apply for grants, giving teams the capacity to focus on what wins funding: strategy, relationships, and stronger applications.
Key Learnings:
- The state of nonprofit grant funding in 2026
- Where funders are directing dollars and why it matters
- How strategic timing gives your organization a competitive edge
- Why AI is transforming how grant teams find opportunities
