Join panelists from AFP Global, CASE, The Nonprofit Alliance, and Arnold & Porter for a conversation on the future of philanthropy, and what fundraisers, donors, and nonprofits can expect in the future.
Presenters:

Andras Kosaras is counsel in the Tax-Exempt Organizations practice group at Arnold & Porter. He represents philanthropists and US and international nonprofit organizations on regulatory, operational and governance matters, including charitable giving, structuring domestic and international programs, managing endowments and investments, impact investments and grantmaking, and business ventures. He advises exempt organizations involved in tax and governance controversies, including internal investigations, disputes over charitable gifts and gift restrictions, internal investigations, and examinations by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state charity regulators. He monitors and provides advice on legislative and regulatory tax proposals affecting tax-exempt organizations.
Brian Flahaven is vice president for strategic partnerships at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the global association for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications, and development at schools, colleges, and universities. In this role, Brian oversees CASE’s global advocacy, corporate relations, fundraising, CASE@Campus training, and the Latin America region.
Brian received his bachelor’s degree in political science, economics and history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
In 2016, Brian earned the designation of Certified Association Executive from the American Society of Association Executives. Brian was named to the NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 in 2023 and again in 2025.
Shannon McCracken, CAE is the founding President & CEO of The Nonprofit Alliance (TNPA) and has been recognized on The NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 for the past four years. Shannon served as Charity Navigator’s Chief Development Officer and later joined its board of directors. She spent 17 years at Special Olympics International, most recently as Vice President of Donor Development. She serves on the Fundraising.AI Advisory Council, is the Government Relations Chair on the Fundraising Effectiveness Project Steering Committee, and co-chairs the Public Policy & Advocacy Subcommittee of the Generosity Committee. Shannon holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit and Association Management.
H. Art Taylor is president and chief executive officer of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as of April 1, 2025.
Previously, Mr. Taylor served as President and CEO of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance (2001-2024), where he significantly expanded the organization's impact by increasing charity reports from 250 to over 1,400 nationally soliciting organizations. Under his leadership, the Alliance introduced the Accredited Charity Seal, which has garnered more than 1 billion impressions in the public domain, providing donors with a clear indicator of trustworthy organizations. He also launched innovative initiatives including givesafely.io, the first charity donation platform built on blockchain technology, and The Heart of Giving Podcast, ranked first nationwide in the nonprofit genre.
Mr. Taylor is a respected voice in the nonprofit sector on charity accountability, transparency, governance, and strategy. He is a co-author of "The Overhead Myth" letters and collaborated with GuideStar and Independent Sector to create Charting Impact. His "Advancing Collaboration" initiative, which included a partnership with Stanford Social Innovation Review, received the 2018 ASAE Foundation's Innovation Award.
