Keynote Program
A lot of people are bamboozled by fundraising myths that guarantee they can never reach their potential as fundraisers. Like this one: “If you connect with your donors a lot, you will annoy them and drive them away, and you’ll end up without donors.”  Not true! If you build a strategy based on that myth, your fundraising program will not be sustainable.

This session will look at seven very common myths, show you how they’re false and then explore the realities that the myths are hiding from us. We’ll take a practical, hands-on approach that will free you to do your best work with confidence and raise more money for your cause.

BIO: Jeff Brooks, named "America's top fundraising writer," has been serving the nonprofit community for more than 30 years. He has worked with organizations large and small around the world, and has served in many charity sectors, including international development, health organizations and hospitals, social services, faith-based, and arts and culture. He hopes you’ll join him in the belief that asking donors to give makes their lives better -- not just ours! Before he discovered fundraising, he was an English teacher, a newspaper reporter, and a musician.  He publishes the popular Future Fundraising Now blog, and is the author of three books on fundraising. He lives in Seattle.
