Effective project management builds on a foundational set of principles that guide strategy, decisions, and execution throughout the life cycle of a project. This presentation will provide an overview of the project management life cycles, and introduce the 12 Project Management Principles identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Finally, we will explore how those principles serve as a guide as you initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and adapt your fundraising projects to maximize results.

BIO: Brian Crilly earned his DBA at Hood College and his MBA at Mount St. Mary’s University, both with a focus on Project Management. He also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Brian is the Director of Systems and Software Engineering at Thales Defense & Security, Inc., and serves as an adjunct instructor at both Hood College and Mount St. Mary’s University.
