“What is marketing?” and “Why does design matter?”

 What may sound like a simple question is actually a lot more than it sounds. In a nutshell, the answer to both of these questions, on some level, is communication. Get your Nonprofit’s marketing and design up to speed with these tips and tricks that feature free or low-cost tools to effectively communicate and amplify your nonprofit's message.

BIO: Kelsey is an award winning senior designer at Postern who has a passion for design and marketing. Her diverse skill set includes illustration and typography, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the web, including search engine optimization, online advertising, and Google Analytics. Kelsey has successfully created and deployed websites for Downtown Frederick Partnership, Plamondon Hospitality Partners, The Literacy Council of Frederick County, and The Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs. She also created the brand identity for the Maryland Hotel Lodging Association, The Frederick Municipal Airport, and her current company Postern. In her free time, Kelsey loves to knit, longboard, and add to her collection of over 50 unique handcrafted mugs. She graduated from Susquehanna University in 2015 with a BA in graphic design and philosophy. She currently lives and works in Downtown Frederick, Maryland.
