For the last few decades, donor-centered fundraising has been the gold standard practice to raise resources in the nonprofit sector. However, despite adopting this philosophy, fundraisers and nonprofits continue to struggle when it comes to funding the work, maintaining donor relationships, and driving necessary change.
The Community-Centric Fundraising (CCF) movement was launched by a group of BIPOC fundraisers who wanted to apply a systems change perspective and an anti-racist approach. Today, many fundraising professionals are curious about the 10 principles of the CCF movement but often don't know where to begin integrating these concepts into their traditional fundraising activities. This session will offer an introduction to CCF along with practical tools, tips and ideas that fundraisers can implement immediately.
Attendees will leave this session with:
Ideas for introducing your organization to CCF
Ways to cultivate, educate and steward your donors
Considerations for enhancing existing fundraising practices such as annual giving, events or special campaigns
Practices for introducing CCF to institutional funders
This event is free and open to all nonprofit professionals in the metro Detroit area.
