Bio

Bob Jones came to Marillac St. Vincent Family Services (MSV) with almost two decades of experience in fundraising. Currently, he is focused on increasing annual appeals as well as sharing his expertise and strategic planning in the development of a modified Major Gift plan.  Prior to MSV, he worked as the Senior Manager of the Founders' Council at the Field Museum focusing on renewals and increase support in the $2,500-$5,000 Gift range.

Prior to moving to Chicago, Bob had significant success after being recruited to start the development team and comprehensive capital campaign for GLOW Academy (focusing on education for underserved 6-12 grade girls). He also created and implemented Cape Fear Community College’s first capital campaign for the Humanities & Fine Arts Center. The campaign culminated in a Grand Opening Gala for the Fine Arts Center under his leadership.

Prior to moving to Wilmington NC, Bob had a 12-year progressive career at Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. He held several roles including special projects for the opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Bob has been very involved with the nonprofit community and serves in all functions of the Executive Committee of the Cape Fear Region Chapter for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2015, he was invited to present at the national conference for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. In 2017, he was nominated by his colleagues and was awarded Professional Fundraiser of the Year.
