Bio

Toby Amir Fox is a seasoned philanthropic professional with 20 years of corporate and foundation relations, corporate social responsibility and community outreach experience in both the business and nonprofit sectors. During her career she has worked with corporations, foundations, donors and nonprofits devising funding strategies that address STEM education, leadership development opportunities for girls, food insecurity, the needs of individuals with disabilities and issues of homelessness and affordable housing. She is driven by a belief that we are all philanthropists with the ability (and responsibility!) to create positive social change in our communities. 

 

Prior to the creation of Toby Fox Consulting, LLC, Toby worked in the Office of Corporate Citizenship for a Fortune 80 company where she managed community investments, employee engagement and volunteerism and nonprofit relationships in Arizona, California and Colorado. Prior to that she served in development and corporate and foundation relations roles at Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services (STARS), Arizona Science Center, Girl Scouts- Arizona Cactus-Pine Council and the Martin Pear JCC. Colleagues have described Toby as a passionate, down-to-earth, community-focused and fundraising leader who can be relied on to offer superior solutions that deliver results. She leads with professionalism, grace and a wicked sense of humor. Over the course of her career, Toby has raised more than $10M for a variety of philanthropic organizations.

Toby received a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropic Studies and a Master of Public Affairs with an emphasis on Nonprofit Management from Indiana University - Purdue University in Indianapolis. She previously received a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Political Science from DePauw University.  Toby earned her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2012 and is a graduate of the American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy.
