Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

We are a small but mighty chapter thanks to our committees. Joining a committee is a great way to learn more about AFP, gain leadership experience, and make a difference for local fundraisers just like you.

Opportunities:

  • Event committee - our next event committee opportunity will be the Central Valley Fundraising Conference in October 2027
  • Marketing committee - help get the word out about our chapter, our events, and all things AFP
  • Education committee - be a part of the team that plans and schedules our monthly educational meetings
  • Membership committee - this group focuses on member retention and recruitment

AFP Global's Volunteer Opportunities

AFP volunteers are at all stages in their development careers, from newcomers to senior-level professionals. They are the heart of AFP – from helping to guide and support the mission of the Association, to developing and sharing knowledge about the profession, and more.

Volunteering is a great way to develop professionally, grow your network, build your career, gain new insights and perspectives, and give back to the fundraising profession.

From running for a Global board position or joining an AFP Global committee, to submitting a proposal for our professional development programming, or becoming a public policy advocate, there's an opportunity here for everyone!
